We have been recognised as the best seafish restaurant in the UK after winning the Seafish, Seafood Restaurant of The Year 2015 award. Not only is this wonderful achievement for the full team at Gamba, but for the fantastic Scottish seafood industry and all its champions, suppliers and producers.
Gamba seafood restaurant has been acknowledge for the last 17 years and this year retains its two AA rosettes award by the British Automobile Association (AA). Our rosettes are awarded for the innovation, greater technical skill and skillset of the dishes cooked at Gamba by chef patron, Derek Marshall.
For a fish-fix in Glasgow’s theatre district, seek out this beautifully lit basement restaurant. Now in its 16th year, it serves exquisite seafood, often with an Asian twist – try scallops and monkfish steamed en papillote with ginger and spring onions.

“Fish fans, as you would expect, are spoiled for choice and while I almost ordered the Isle of Gigha Halibut for my main, I opted for roast Shetland cod with citrus gravy, broad beans, asparagus and prawns - beautifully cooked and working well with the other flavours. King scallops and monkfish with ginger and spring onion steamed in paper was another amazing fusion of flavours.”
