The Gamba Story

Gamba - a seafood institution - is an award winning, two AA rosette restaurant that has been at the forefront of Glasgow's culinary scene since 1998.

Derek Marshall, Gamba's Chef Patron, cares passionately about serving the freshest, sustainable fish and seafood. Derek uses only the very freshest, in season, produce and ingredients to create a modern twist on classic culinary dishes.

Using simple cooking methods and drawing from his vast experience as a chef in the Channel Islands, French Alps and then Spain, where he honed the art of cooking seafood, Derek has found the perfect recipe for success by focusing on quality and working in partnership with his suppliers from around Scotland and the UK.

With the support of a great team, both in the kitchen and front of house, Derek's ethos is to serve food that is honest, consistent and flavoursome.

It's no surprise then that Gamba, with it's stylish surroundings and discreet basement location in the city centre, has been a favourite to Glaswegians and visitors to the city for nearly 20 years.
